Coil Spring Balances, Constant Force Balance Systems - Constant force balances and coil balances are spring mechanisms that regulate the operational aspects of a single or double hung window. Highly distinguishable from other balances by the assemblies that consist of separate coil springs, pivot shoes, and other parts. Coil springs are individually calibrated, and together they support the weight of the window sashes. Coil Spring Balances are also known as tape balances, side load balances, for non-tilt and tilting window unit assemblies. Prices obviously vary depending on many factors - and begin at $ 19.95 and go up. 

Things we need to know - to help are as follows: 

• The stamping or imprints on your original spring balance? 
• Good Clear Pictures - so we can ID which coil balance parts you need?  
• Sash Sizes of your windows? Width X Height of Visible Glass?
• We always recommend coil balance be replaced as entire assemblies. 

Coil balance assemblies can be an involved ID process - We recommend removing the entire balance assembly from the window and take good pictures. If the balance hardware is missing or broken, check an identical window elsewhere in the house that has all hardware intact. Send us photos of your part(s) installed and removed. DESCRIBE YOUR PARTS -- and include any names, numbers, stampings, markings etc. found on existing hardware.
